Counselling & Psychotherapy

Real conversations, without judgement

I’m Stuart Walker, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Manchester, offering in-person and online therapy across the UK.

I work primarily with men and fathers who want a grounded, honest space to talk about the things that feel difficult to carry alone. Many of the people I see come feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure how to make sense of what’s going on in their lives.

Therapy with me is not formal or clinical. It’s a real conversation. A place to slow down, be listened to properly, and explore what matters most to you, whether that’s relationships, work pressure, fatherhood, identity, grief, or simply feeling out of step with yourself.

Much of my work centres on supporting men who have never had space like this before. If you’re used to keeping things in, trying to cope on your own, or feeling like you should just be able to handle it, you’re not alone.

Me In Time Counselling & Psychotherapy offers a welcoming, straightforward approach in Manchester and online. You don’t need the perfect words to begin. You just need to take the first step.

An opportunity to unload and unpack

We all carry things. Responsibilities. Family pressures. Relationship struggles. Old wounds. Painful memories of loss. For many men and fathers, that weight is often invisible, held quietly behind the expectation to stay strong and cope alone.

Counselling offers a chance to put some of that weight down. In our sessions, we can unpack what you’ve been carrying, piece by piece, and make sense of it at your own pace. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just need a space where you can speak honestly and be heard.

I offer counselling for men and fathers in Manchester, both in person and online. This is a place to feel lighter, supported, and understood, without judgement or pressure.

Therapy can be for anyone

Many people, especially men, tell me they never imagined counselling was for them, until they discovered it was simply about being listened to with respect, without judgement, and given space to speak openly.

Whether you’re juggling family life, living with loss, adjusting to change, or dealing with stress, anxiety, or relationship difficulties, therapy offers a way to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. I work in an integrative, trauma-informed way, which means the sessions adapt to what you need. Sometimes we focus on practical, everyday challenges. At other times we explore feelings and patterns more deeply.

Counselling is not about being told what to do. It is about being heard, understood, and supported to find your own way forward. I offer this support to men and fathers in Manchester, both in person and online.

What does counselling involve?

Counselling is not about fixing people. It is about creating a safe, grounded space where men, fathers, and adults can reflect, grow, and reconnect with what matters most.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are available both online and in person in Manchester. The standard fee is £60 per session. I also offer a small number of reduced-cost places at £25 for people experiencing financial difficulty, because support should be accessible.

If you are looking for counselling in Manchester or online across the UK, whether for men’s wellbeing, fatherhood, grief, bereavement, neurodiversity, or general mental health, you are welcome to get in touch. Me In Time Counselling & Psychotherapy offers a supportive, straightforward place to begin that conversation.
