Training & Qualifying Resources for Trainee & Newly Qualified Counsellors
A quick note for clients: This section is primarily intended for trainee and qualified counsellors. If you're looking for counselling support, you might find the Counselling, How I Work, Articles, or FAQs sections more relevant. You're very welcome to explore these resources too, but they have been written with therapists in mind.
Alongside these resources, I also work with trainee and newly qualified counsellors seeking personal therapy during training.

Why I Created This Resource Library
When I was training, I often found myself searching across dozens of websites looking for practical resources, honest reflections and answers to questions that didn't always seem to be covered in the classroom. Now, having built my own practice and working with clients online across the UK and in person in Manchester, I still remember how overwhelming those early days could feel. This resource library is my way of creating the kind of place I wish I'd had when I was starting out.
Some resources were excellent.
Some were difficult to find.
Many simply didn't exist.
Whether you're beginning your counselling training, preparing for placement, approaching qualification or building your own private practice, I hope you'll find something here that feels useful, reassuring or thought-provoking.
Some resources are practical.
Some are reflective.
Others explore the realities of becoming a counsellor and building a practice that feels authentic.
