Online Counselling for Men & Fathers Across the UK

Secure online therapy from the comfort of your own home

Therapy That Fits Around Real Life

One of the biggest barriers to counselling isn't always knowing where to begin.

Sometimes it's simply finding the time.

Work.

Family life.

School runs.

Long commutes.

Living somewhere without a local therapist who feels like the right fit.

Online counselling removes many of those barriers.

Whether you're based in London, Leeds, Cornwall, Inverness or anywhere in between, we can meet securely online from wherever feels most comfortable for you.

For many people, therapy becomes possible because it fits around life rather than asking life to stop.

Why Some Men Choose a Male Therapist

Not every man is looking for a male therapist.

Many are simply looking for someone they feel comfortable talking to.

For others, working with another man feels important.

It might be because they want to talk about fatherhood, relationships, grief, identity or the pressures that often come with trying to hold everything together. It may simply feel easier speaking to someone they hope will understand those experiences from a similar perspective.

There isn't a right or wrong choice.

The most important thing is finding a therapist you feel able to speak honestly with.

Does Online Counselling Really Work?

It's one of the questions I'm asked most often.

The short answer is yes.

Research has consistently shown that online counselling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many common emotional difficulties.

The relationship between therapist and client matters far more than whether you're sitting in the same room.

Many people tell me that after the first few minutes they forget the screen is even there.

The conversation simply becomes a conversation.

The Men I Work Alongside

Although I work with people from many different backgrounds, online counselling often appeals to those whose lives make regular travel difficult or who simply feel more comfortable speaking from home.

Many of the people I work with are men who have spent years carrying pressure on their own, fathers trying to balance work and family life, people living with grief that still feels present long after others expect them to have moved on, and neurodivergent adults exploring identity, diagnosis or the cost of years spent masking.

These aren't separate groups as much as overlapping experiences. Someone may come because they're grieving and discover they're also struggling with fatherhood. Another may begin by talking about work stress before recognising the impact that undiagnosed ADHD has had throughout their life.

Labels matter less than understanding what you're carrying.

Why Many People Choose Online Counselling

For many people, online counselling simply makes therapy easier to access.

Some join sessions during their lunch break before returning to work. Others wait until the children are asleep. Some live in rural areas where travelling to a therapist would take hours. Others simply feel more able to speak honestly from the comfort of their own home.

Rather than becoming another journey to fit into an already busy week, therapy becomes something that fits around real life.

Many people who begin online tell me they expected it to feel strange. Most are surprised by how quickly the technology fades into the background and the conversation simply becomes a conversation.

What You'll Need

Very little.

A quiet space where you feel able to speak freely, a reliable internet connection and a laptop, tablet or smartphone are usually all that's needed.

If you're unsure about the practical side of online counselling, don't worry. We'll talk everything through before your first session so you can feel as comfortable as possible.

Your First Session

Before beginning therapy, I usually offer a free 30–45 minute introductory conversation.

It's simply an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what's brought you here, answer any questions you may have and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.

There is absolutely no obligation to continue afterwards.

Practical Information

Sessions last 50 minutes.

The standard fee is £60 per session.

Online counselling is available throughout the UK.
